Donna Hodson

Donna Hodson has been a decorative artist since 1977. She’s always had an interest in art, drawing and painting. In 1987 she earned her CDA through the Society of Decorative Painters and began teaching in the early 80’s. She began painting with oils but transitioned to acrylic in the 80’s and primarily works in that medium. Watercolor is another medium she enjoys. She loves a wide variety of styles including still life, floral, fruit, and of course snowmen and Christmas themes. Donna still teaches for local chapters and clubs and occasionally travel teaches.
In 1969 she married her husband Paul, a Navy pilot and gave up her elementary teaching career to follow him around the world for 19 years. He retired in 1988 and they moved to a farm near Rolla, MO where they still reside. They have a son, daughter, and one granddaughter. Their granddaughter lives with them and will graduate high school in 2015. They own three horses and also board horses. Their son has built and ATV track on their property so the weekends enjoy the noises of a bull dozer, tractor, and ATV engines when he visits. Of course Paul is right there with him.
